‘Strike Back’ Season 4 Goes on Hiatus After Sullivan Stapleton Injured Off-set

The fourth and final season of the Cinemax incarnation of “Strike Back” was originally planned to premiere this summer. However, the last run of “Strike Back” may be significantly delayed.

Series star, Sullivan Stapleton has reportedly suffered a serious injury while off the set of “Strike Back” in Bangkok, Thailand. Thus far, the exact details of Stapelton’s injury and how it happened have been kept under wraps. But apparently, Sullivan will require at least six months to recover; which puts the summer premiere of “Strike Back” Season 4 in jeopardy.

In a brief statement, a representative of Stapleton said that “following the accident in Thailand, Sullivan is resting comfortably and on his way to a full recovery. We appreciate all of the well-wishes and support.”

Because Stapleton is currently starring in 300: Rise Of An Empire, he had already filmed most of his scenes for the final season of “Strike Back” so he could be released for the 300 publicity tour. However, Stapleton’s injury will likely prevent him from promoting one of the biggest movies in his career.

The production of “Strike Back” will continue filming around Stapleton’s absence through March before going on hiatus. Production is expected to resume in the fall.
