Video: Kendrick Lamar & Flying Lotus Make Dancing Zombie Children Steal a Hearse in ‘Never Catch Me’

Kendrick Lamar and Flying Lotus aint afraid of no ghosts. Evidence is ample in the duo’s spooktastic new video for “Never Catch Me”.

Directed by Hiro Murai (Spoon, Childish Gambino, Queens of the Stone Age), the clip finds a little boy and a little girl awakening from their deathbeds and dancing away. After a swing-dancing choreographed escapade they steal a hearse and get the hell out of town. Given the Ebola scare we’re currently in the midst of, the video may be more foretelling than Lamar and Lotus intended.

Flying Lotus’ album You’re Dead! arrives October 7, but details are still hazy on just how many FlyLo beats Kendrick will be using on his own upcoming album, which still has no release date or title.

Recently Flying Lotus threw a little shade at the idea that Kendrick left him in a bit of a bind regarding his rap alter-ego, Captain Murphy, saying, “I went on tour and he recorded a bunch of my songs. I don’t know if he’s gonna use them or not, but he recorded a bunch of stuff, which is why there’s no Captain Murphy album out yet. He took all my beats!”
