Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Takes Cues from Titanfall in Debut Trailer

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare looks to have taken a few cues from Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall, if this new trailer is anything to go by.

The next entry in the Call of Duty franchise was intended to be revealed on May 4th, but its debut trailer was leaked which forced publisher Activision to play its cards earlier than anticipated, releasing a HD version of the trailer onto YouTube this morning (May 2nd).

The trailer shows that new CoD developer Sledgehammer Games has clearly been keeping an eye on Titanfall, with numerous hi-tech gadgets being added to the FPS’s arsenal that bring to mind Respawn’s successful new IP, including gloves that allow for extended wall-climbing, a cloaking device and superhero-esque jumping.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s campaign reportedly focuses on a private military group that turns on the US government. This military group is helmed by a character portrayed by House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey, who is a major coup for Activision as the publisher looks to rectify the mistakes made with the underwhelming Call of Duty: Ghosts, and give us a game that truly utilizes the power provided by the PS4 and Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to release on November 4th, 2014. Watch the debut trailer above.
