Preview: Greg Rucka’s ‘Veil #1’

Greg Rucka’s made his bones doing great comics work in places like Stumptown and The Punisher,  Now he’s teaming up with artist Toni Fejzula and Dark Horse Comics to bring us Veil, a mysterious book whose official blurb is just as enigmatic.

“A beautiful girl wakes up in an abandoned subway station with no memory of how she got there. When men try to hurt her . . . they wind up dead. Where did she come from? And what is she capable of?”

As far as reviews go, he believes the main point of being a critic is not to pass yourself off as the final arbiter of quality passing holy judgment on a work of art, but rather just to share opinions so that the reader can decide whether or not the critic is someone whose tastes generally align with theirs.  If so, that reviewer is one whose work you can trust if you're curious about a particular title.  If not, cue loud, angry internet vitriol.
