After a few days of teasers for teasers for teasers, Marvel Studios has finally (FINALLY) released the second official, full-length Guardians of the Galaxy trailer via the film’s Facebook page. But if you were expecting any more information about the film’s plot, characters or place in the Marvel Universe… get ready to be mildly disappointed. Like the first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, this second preview is long on attitude and short on actual information. All we know is that Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Rocket Raccoon (voice of Bradley Cooper) and Groot (voice of Vin Diesel) are intergalactic chaotic neutrals who get roped into saving the galaxy… which we kind of already assumed.
BUT… damn it, this still looks fun. The second trailer is full of dazzling imagery, amusing gags and the first opportunity to hear Bradley Cooper as an intergalactic space raccoon and Vin Diesel as the mobile tree Groot, and they sound just fine to us. We particularly like that Rocket’s outfit seems to ride up in the crotch. Poor guy. That’s gotta suck, saving the galaxy with an uncomfortably tight feeling in your manly bits.
