Kit Harington Shares a Few More ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Details

There are spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones, especially for last Sunday’s episode! If you haven’t seen it yet, what the hell are you waiting for, people?! You certainly shouldn’t have clicked on this link, but as long as you’re here you can read our review of the most episode and catch up.

Jon Snow was dead all of two episodes before his return from the great beyond in last Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones…and there wasn’t even anyone around to scream “He’s alive!” in an over-the-top manner! Perhaps the screaming will come next Sunday when the Night’s Watch realizes that their beloved Lord Commander has come back from the dead.

Entertainment Weekly has posted its cover story on Harington’s not-so-secret return to Game of Thrones and notes that “the Jon Snow who wakes up has changed dramatically.” Why? Because as far as Jon can recall, there was no afterlife. In fact, “there was nothing at all.”

“He realizes something about his life now: he has to live it, because that’s all there is,” said Harington. “He’s been over the line and there’s nothing there. And that changes him. It literally puts the fear of God into him. He doesn’t want to die ever again, but if he does, he doesn’t want to be brought back.”

Harington added that this is “the biggest season for [Jon Snow] so far. There’s one episode this season which is Jon’s story, that’s the most epic episode we’ve done.”

We’ll see how Jon’s friends and allies take his return this Sunday on Game of Thrones.
