Hog Wild: The Ultimate Way to Tailgate Your College Football Game

“An ice-cold beverage, bold BBQ bites and a big screen TV tuned to their favorite college football game – these are the types of amenities fans of Four Points know they get during every stay with us,” said Paige Francis on the Four Points Hotel’s perks and amenities. To really prove how serious they are about the great American pastime, Four Points Hotel partnered with Coke Zero to create an ultimate fan experience – the football tailgate – and if that’s an indication of the Four Points experience, it’s a delicious party with all the right people.

At the USC vs. Utah game this past Saturday, Four Points scored an awesome spot right outside of the coliseum. People were invited to enjoy some free BBQ and drinks, play some cornhole with friends, lounge at one of their shaded tables or hide from the sun in their air conditioned trailer. The trailer was popping with a DJ, bar and multiple areas to unwind, and it filled up fast with drunk, karaoking USC fans looking for a good time.

The line for free food was of course pretty long, but the wait was definitely worth it. The pulled pork sandwich, smothered in their secret “game day sauce,” was phenomenal, but the yucca fries were my favorite part. Mix that with an ice-cold Coke Zero, spiked with rum compliments of the bar, made for the perfect pre-game meal.

This free event features corn hole competitions, karaoke, a full bar, bomb BBQ and a huge air-conditioned trailer. To complete the afternoon, two local BBQ joints will compete in the ultimate “Side-dish Showdown,” where guests are invited to taste and vote for their favorite side.

They’ll be partying the next three weekends; so don’t miss your chance:

  • UCLA vs. Colorado (10/31)
  • University of Alabama vs. LSU (11/7)
  • Auburn vs. Georgia (11/14)

If you can’t make it out, Four Points partnered with Karmel so you can enjoy the experience from the comfort of your home. The two created a package called “Four Piggies,” which includes 2 pounds of North Carolina Hickory-Smoked Whole-Hog Barbecue, 1 pound of chopped cabbage, 1 package of Buns, 1 16-ounce bottle of Elizabeth Karmel’s signature Carolina Cue Vinegar Sauce and the Tailgate Recipe Cards by Karmel, all shipped right to your house.
