Derrick Rose’s Height Didn’t Stop Him From Throwing Sky High Dunks

The 2008 number one draft pick has had some tough years behind him due to injury, but he still managed to be on a couple of highlight reels while playing for the Knicks this last season. Cocking the ball behind his head is Rose’s signature move when attacking the loathed rim.

Even his stat line for the Knicks wasn’t bad at all this season. He played 64 games, 32.5 minutes per game, 18.0 points per game and 4.4 assists.

The ultimate Derrick Rose height soaring dunk is the one against Phoenix Suns, or Goran Dragic to be exact. This is why you see NBA players practicing driving down the basket with a coach expecting them there with a punching pad, as it simulates this type of contact right here.

Obviously, Dragic didn’t appear to be a harder obstacle than a pad, but he deserves an honest applause for trying, making the dunk even more spectacular.
