NYCC 2013 Preview: Mark Waid & Shane Davis on ‘Shadow Walk’

Back at San Diego Comic-Con, Legendary announced a new project with current Daredevil and Indestructible Hulk writer Mark Waid, World War Z creator Max Brooks and Superman: Earth One artist Shane Davis. Now, at New York Comic-Con, attendees will get their first look at Shadow Walk with this “ashcan” preview – and you can get what they get right here at Crave Online.

Waid and Brooks collaborated with Legendary founder Thomas Tull on this story about an American soldier in the early days of the Iraq War and a place in the Middle East that could very well be the Valley of Death as mentioned in the Bible. Brooks created the… well, the story “bible” for this fictional world with Waid  handling the writing.

As far as reviews go, he believes the main point of being a critic is not to pass yourself off as the final arbiter of quality passing holy judgment on a work of art, but rather just to share opinions so that the reader can decide whether or not the critic is someone whose tastes generally align with theirs.  If so, that reviewer is one whose work you can trust if you're curious about a particular title.  If not, cue loud, angry internet vitriol.
