Matt Cardona To Challenge For NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title At NWA PowerrrTrip

Matt Cardona will challenge for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship at NWA PowerrrTrip on February 12.

Cardona has been feuding with the reigning champion, Trevor Murdoch for several weeks, dating back to his debut at NWA Hard Times 2. There, the former GCW World Champion attacked Murdoch and posed with the title. He again left Murdoch lying after the latter successfully defended his title against Mike Knox this past week on NWA Powerrr.

Cardona won the IMPACT Digital Media Championship Thursday night on IMPACT Wrestling, and he continues to compete for GCW, among other promotions. Murdoch won the gold by defeating Nick Aldis at NWA 73.

The updated card is as follows:

  • NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship: Trevor Murdoch (c) vs. Matt Cardona
  • NWA Women’s Championship: Kamille (c) vs. Taryn Terrell
  • I Quit Match: Nick Aldis vs. Thom Latimer
  • Mike Knox vs. Da Pope
  • Kylie Rae vs. Chelsea Green
  • Jordan Clearwater, Marshe Rockett, BLK Jeez, & Tyrus vs. Cyon, Rush Freeman, Mims, & Alex Taylor
