Gary Cassidy of Sportskeeda caught up with Paige while the two were on the BT Sport bus and the first ever NXT Women’s Champion was asked about what her reaction is to Triple H’s joke made about her during an interview in which he questioned how many kids Paige may or may not have. Paige was ready to answer the question, but also wanted folks to know that it’s something she herself is ready to turn the page on.
“Obviously I was a little bit perplexed, little bit taken aback because he is someone I truly look up to,” said Paige, “and he’s always been like very respectful so I just felt like he kind of got caught up maybe in a joke but I just don’t think it was appropriate to joke about, but again, I don’t know it’s something I’m not going to continually keep talking about because I feel like people that need to know have done a pretty good job with it.”
Cassidy followed up with asking if she has spoken to Triple H since the incident.
“He’s definitely reached out and we’re going to be talking about some things.”
