Ethan Page On Staying Busy & Still Enjoying The Indies, The ‘Selling Point‘ To Bringing Back His Vlog

Ethan Page recently spoke with Wrestlezone’s Kevin Kellam and the current IMPACT Tag Team Champion spoke about the recent success he’s seen with Josh Alexander. Page says he’s been staying busy, continuing to build stock with IMPACT but that hasn’t slowed him down any on the independent scene.

“I think keeping the road and trying to stay busy is the most interesting part. I think a lot of people just assume once you reach a certain level, that’s just it. But I’m enjoying the independents more than I ever have right now.”

While he does stay busy traveling the country, one thing that isn’t much fun is being away from his family. Page noted that it’s tough being away on long stretches, but he tries to spend as much time with them as he can.

“Yeah, it’s really hard. This past week was probably the worst I’ve had in a while. We had three days in Texas with IMPACT Wrestling. By the time I got home it was dinner time on Monday so I barely got to see them. Tuesday I got the day with them, but Tuesday night I filmed a live Twitch show with IMPACT in Toronto so I had to drive an hour out there and an hour home. So that day was a wash. Then Wednesday we had to drive out to Beyond to do their last show, and I had to do Uncharted Territory, which they do every single Wednesday night. So we did that and we drove all the way home. Then I had a little bit of Thursday with them but we drove through the night so I slept through the day. So I got to see my kid for like essentially two half days that entire 10-day stretch. Because Friday I had to fly out for 3 more days in Texas and then I just got home today. And now I’m doing an interview with you guys.”

Page also noted that his personal vlog is something that his wife encouraged him to continue doing, with the selling point of it being something to share with his daughter in the future.

“Well the vlog itself was her idea in the first place. Then, I originally did it a couple of years ago and then I stopped. It was her idea to bring it back. But the way she sold it to me was to try and capture as much I can during our kid’s first years of life. That was the selling point to me, and I was like ‘okay,’ and she can essentially never miss time with her dad because she’ll be able to see exactly what he was doing while she was too young to remember. So, that’s why I ended up doing it. So it was her advice.”
