Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels were a beloved tag team, but they didn’t always get along. Once they wound up getting into an actual fight at a hotel after Roddy Piper stirred them both up. Jannetty recently reminisced about the altercation on The Hannibal TV, revealing the aftermath where Randy Savage saved him from going to jail.

How Randy Savage kept him from getting arrested:
My favorite [Randy Savage story] is when Shawn and I accidentally got into a real fight. Shawn can’t fight [laughs], and Shawn, I love you but stop telling this story wrong and I know you did since I’m telling the truth. I got arrested because [the police] didn’t know we were wrestlers. They just knew that guys in the hallway got into a fight at the hotel. I’m coming downstairs all clinked up and Randy Savage is coming in. They didn’t have any idea who I was, but they’re going crazy over Randy. He goes, “What’s happening here?” and [starts explaining that we’re wrestlers]. He didn’t know yet. I had blood on my thighs and was covered. Macho goes, “This is part of our work. We do storylines.” They point at the blood. He goes, “Blood capsules, brothers. Haven’t you heard?” They were so in love with [Savage] and asked for autographs. “Well if you let my friend go, I’ll sign your autographs.” And that’s what happened. They let me go to Randy. As we’re going back to the elevators, he goes to me, “Brother, what the hell is going on?”
The ugliest girl he ever “slept” with:
I woke up the next morning. I look over since I used to party a lot and I was like, “Oh, man. That is the ugliest girl ever!” They had pits on their face. “Come on, man. What did you do?” Then they yawned and I looked, it was Roddy Piper! He took me to my room so we’d stay away from the fight. I love Roddy, he’s my brother.
