Welcome to our annual coverage of the Emmy Awards! Seth Meyers is this yearâs host, as the Emmy ceremony takes place at the Nokia Theater.
Letâs get started!
5:06PM:Â So far, Meyersâ monologue is really, really bad. Câmon dude, land a joke.

5:10PM:Â Ty Burrell is the first winner of the night. This is his second win in the supporting actor catagory for âModern Family.â Is âModern Familyâ going to streamroll through the other comedy shows again?Â
5:17PM: Allison Williams and Zooey Deschanel announce that Louie C.K. takes the award for comedy writing for âLouieâ on FX.
5:18PM: Really fast and classy acceptance speech from Louis C.K.
5:22PM:Â Allison Janney is this yearâs Outstanding Supporting Actress in a comedy for her role on âMom.â Take that, âModern Family!â
5:23PM:Â What the shit, NBC?! Two awards and itâs right back to commercials?!

5:46PM: Julia Louis-Dreyfus wins her third Emmy in a row for âVeepâ in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy category. This is her fifth Emmy overall. I think that every winner tonight has been a repeat winner.
5:48PM: Forgot to mention that Louis-Dreyfus and Bryan Cranston were very funny together when presenting the lead comedy actor award. I loved the âSeinfeldâ callbacks.
5:50PM:Â Jesus, âThe Amazing Raceâ takes the Outstanding Reality Series award for the tenth time. This yearâs Emmys are looking a lot like the Emmys of the last four years.
6:00PM: Wow! Steven Moffat wins in the Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special for âSherlock!â The first new winner of the night!
6:02PM: Kathy Bates wins her second Emmy for her role in âAmerican Horror Story: Coven,â This is in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie category and itâs a huge upset. She beat Julia Roberts and Allison Tolman, both of whom were favored. Batesâ previous Emmy win was for a guest appearance on âTwo and a Half Men.â
6:08PM: Martin Freeman wins the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for âSherlock.â Another first time winner! This may be âSherlockâsâ yearâŚ
6:11PM: Another first time winner and the first award for âFargo.â Colin Bucksey is the winner of this yearâs Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special contest.
6:21PM: Yes, this is âSherlockâsâ year. Benedict Cumberbatch wins the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie.Â
6:22PM: I wonder if Cumberbatch and Freeman now regret skipping the Emmys this yearâŚ
6:28PM: This yearâs Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie is⌠Jessica Lange for âAmerican Horror Story: Coven.â This is her third win in a row for âAmerican Horror Story.â
6:30PM: Weird Al does TV show themes! Love it. Brilliant âGame of Thronesâ bit to close it out.
6:36PM: Â âFargoâ is this yearâs Outstanding Miniseries. Well deserved award.
6:42PM: HBOâs The Normal Heart is this yearâs Outstanding Television Movie. Ryan Murphy doesnât go home emptyhanded this year.

6:54PM:Â Key & Peele, please host this show next year.
6:56PM: Glenn Weiss wins Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for The 67th Tony Awards. The Oscars are jealous. Â

7:37PM: âBreaking Badâ strikes again in the Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series category. Moira Walley-Beckett takes it for âOzymandias,â one of the greatest episodes of the series. Itâs also her second win.
7:39PM: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series isâŚÂ Julianna Margulies for âThe Good Wife.â Is this the only drama category win for the broadcast networks at this yearâs Emmys?
7:48PM: This was the most anticipated category of the year: Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Thank HBO for what little suspense weâve had tonight. And the winner is⌠Bryan Cranston for âBreaking Bad.â I was pulling for Matthew McConaughey, but canât fault this choice. Of course, Cranston has now won this award for the fourth time. He also has an Emmy win for his days as Hal on âMalcolm In the Middle.â
7:50PM: Itâs no oneâs honor to introduce Jay Leno.
7:52PM: Shit⌠âModern Familyâ wins for the fifth year in a row as the Outstanding Comedy series. Emmy voters, you are so God-damned lazy.
