What happens in the Trinity trailer?
The official trailer for Trinity introduces Mbatha-Raw as Commander Katherine Decker, the second-in-command of the USS Kansas, a nuclear submarine. Meanwhile, Madden plays Secretary of Defense Webb Preston.
The preview opens with Preston in a briefing room with Commander Decker. Regarding a tense military operation, he asks, “The situation in the Southern Ocean is precarious. Millions of lives are at stake. Did something dangerous happen out there?”
Decker then explains, “We came within seconds of the mistaken deployment of a tactical nuclear weapon.” However, it is revealed that the hostiles never existed in the first place.
When Preston asks Decker if she’s keeping any secrets from him, she urges, “This cannot be traced back to me.” Preston replies, “I’ve got your back.”
The preview then cuts to a masked man interrogating Decker, asking her, “What do you know about Trinity?” Decker finds herself in the middle of a dangerous conspiracy looming in the shadows that poses a serious threat to national security.
The trailer goes on to feature some of the most tense moments from the series and offers a glimpse of what the episodes have in store.
In addition to Mbatha-Raw and Madden, Trinity also stars Marcia Gay Harden, JD Pardo, James Remar, Robert Wisdom, and more.
