A Hunger Games star has joined Claire Danes’ Netflix project for its second season. The psychological thriller The Beast in Me will now feature Lili Taylor as part of its Season 2 cast. She will appear as a series regular opposite Claire Danes and John Goodman.
Netflix has not yet revealed what the show’s upcoming season will explore. While Danes is set to return as author Aggie Wiggs, Deadline reported that John Goodman and Lili Taylor will portray her parents in the show.
Howard Gordon and Daniel Pearle have returned as co-showrunners for the series. They serve as executive producers alongside Claire Danes, Gabe Rotter, and Antonio Campos. Other executive producers include Caroline Baron, Amy Lippman, Conan O’Brien, David Kissinger, Jeff Ross, and Jodie Foster.

Goodman will play Aggie Wiggs’ father, Jack, while Taylor will portray her stepmother, Fiona. Reports suggest that, with Aggie’s parents appearing on the show, the second season is likely to explore her family history.
Lili Taylor, a three-time Emmy nominee, is known for her roles in Outer Range and Daredevil: Born Again, where she played Governor Marge McCaffrey. She will also portray Mags Flanagan in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. John Goodman was recently seen in Digger and Chili Finger.
The Beast in Me originally premiered on Netflix as a limited series before returning for a second season. The first season followed grieving author Aggie Wiggs as she became increasingly fascinated by her mysterious neighbor, Nile Jarvis, portrayed by Matthew Rhys. As she became more involved with him, she found herself increasingly entangled in suspicion and secrets. The focus on Aggie’s family has also intrigued audiences, who wonder what might be in store for the author in the second season.
Netflix has not announced any release date for The Beast in Me Season 2.
