Meanwhile, Broadbent is known for The Bride’s Chamber and Only Murders in the Building, among others.
The ensemble cast of The Choir also includes Tom Davis, Rosie Sheehy, Susan Brown, Jason Watkins, David Harewood, and Alexandria Riley. Further, Sylvestra Le Touzel, Tom Edden, Gary Lamont, Emily Lloyd-Saini, Stephen Leask, Luiis Rouf, Jo Foster, Evie Jones, and Farrah Abbassy will also appear in key roles.
What else do we know about James Corden’s new Apple TV show?
Corden’s The Choir will focus on his character, Ben, Lisa’s brother, played by Jones. The siblings have lived apart for a long time, with Ben abroad and Lisa in a small town. However, things take an unexpected turn when Ben is forced to come back to his estranged family and the English town he never liked.
The anticipated Apple TV show is currently in production. The official title and plot details for The Choir were first revealed last year. Phil Clarke, Jack Bayles, Jones, and Corden are executive producers. Jennifer Sheridan (Rose: A Love Story) and Jim Archer (Big Boys) will direct.
Prior to the upcoming project, Corden and Jones collaborated on the popular British sitcom Gavin & Stacey. When it premiered its finale in 2024, it was the UK’s most-watched TV series. It currently holds a stellar 98% Tomatometer score and a strong 91% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Choir will premiere on Apple TV+ sometime in 2027.
