A highly anticipated drama series from filmmaker Malcolm D. Lee has officially received a series order at Peacock following a three-year development cycle.
Based on author Kennedy Ryan’s bestselling 2022 novel Before I Let Go, the project was initially acquired by Peacock in early 2023. The greenlight moves the adaptation forward with Lee and Ryan leading the creative team.
In an official statement reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan expressed her excitement over bringing the story to the screen. “Bringing the Skyland series to television is a dream come true, and working alongside this visionary team to introduce these characters to a broader audience is beyond thrilling.”
