Former Disney child actress Raquel Lee Bolleau reportedly reached a secret settlement with Mark Curry before filing her current lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company. Curry played Lee’s father in the 2001 Disney Channel movie, The Poof Point. At the time, the actress was 14 years old.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a confidential resolution was reached between Lee and Curry in 2015. Gloria Allred, representative of accusers against prominent individuals in sexual misconduct claims, represented Lee during the private settlement.
The former child star recently filed a civil negligence lawsuit against The Walt Disney Co., alleging that an unidentified “middle-aged male Disney employee” involved in the movie repeatedly sexually abused and assaulted her during filming.
Neither Lee nor representatives for Disney have issued public comments on the prior confidential settlement. Disney also declined to comment directly on the ongoing litigation.

Lee previously appeared in the 2024 Investigation Discovery docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. In the show, she spoke candidly about her experiences as a young Black performer on Nickelodeon’s The Amanda Show in 1999.
While she did not detail The Poof Point allegations during the docuseries, watching co-star Drake Bell open up about his own on-set sexual abuse was deeply retraumatizing for her. In the series, Bell revealed he was abused at age 15 by former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck.
Doug Wigdor serves as Lee’s lawyer for her new litigation against Disney. Wigdor is a plaintiff’s employment and sexual-misconduct specialist.
In Lee’s lawsuit, claims were made that the perpetrator “regularly made sexually explicit jokes and commentary on the set.” It added that these jokes were made around minors and that the perpetrator assaulted her on several occasions in his room at a hotel where the film’s cast and crew stayed.
Her complaint further alleges that the harassment occurred in plain view of co-workers and that Disney failed to intervene. Additionally, the suit states that Lee’s assigned on-set guardian was routinely separated from her during filming, leaving her unsupervised.
