What do we see in The Hawk trailer?
In the upcoming series The Hawk, Ferrell plays the role of a legendary yet washed-up Golfer.
The synopsis of the show reads, “Lonnie Hawkins (Will Ferrell), 2004’s number one golfer, struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet. His ex-wife and his son, Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through. But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.”
The trailer shows Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins making his final attempt to recapture his magic in the gold world as the “Big Shot Golfer”. Along with reclaiming the title, Lonnie attempts to team up with his son, Lance, played by Jimmy Tatro, and get back with his ex-wife, Stacy, played by Molly Shannon.
The supporting cast includes Fortune Feimster as Sam, Luke Wilson as Golden Fisk, Chris Parnell as Anton, Katelyn Tarver as Natalie, and David Hornsby as Radford. The trailer also features a fitting background track that pays homage to Lonnie’s characters while building anticipation for the series.
