Milan Collections | Ermenegildo Zegna S/S16

Ermenegildo Zegna spring summer 2016 collection was like witnessing a live example of a bell curve. Models entered the blinding white runway in black uniforms, slowly transitioned to sea of colorful plaids, and then finished in an army of white uniforms.

All though divided into three segments, the show was cohesive with its tailored fit and styling. Each part offered the same types of clothing: fitted suits, long trench coats, bomber jackets, and windbreakers. The runway was perfect for editors, buyers, and “fashionites” to explore the versatility of the collection.

Referring back to the designer’s spring summer 2015 runway show, the clothing focused more on neutral colors like navy, grey, white, and small pops of color within the final looks. Still tailored, the collection then didn’t offer the versatility it does now.

This year’s designs allow men the option of playing it safe or living on the edge. Whether he wants to take chance or not, his next purchase will be from Ermenegildo Zegna.
