NAIAS 2017 | Lexus Releases Final Details, Pricing for Elite LC 500

Though it sports the look of a gorgeous concept car most automakers would never dare build LC 500 and offers both a pure V8 version and a Multi Stage Hybrid System, Lexus used NAIAS 2017 to announce pricing and final specs on the LC 500. Both will roll out of showrooms under $100,000.

The LC 500 is the new halo car for Lexus, replacing the discontinued and significantly more expensive LFA. It will stand as first model on the new Lexus Global Architecture – Luxury platform set to produce new generations of front engine/rear-wheel drive Lexus models. It seems proper cars aren’t quite ready to surrender to electric scooters and personal mobility devices yet.

The all-new LC 500 is powered by a normally aspirated 5.0-liter V8, married to the first direct shift, 10-speed automatic transmission offered in a luxury car. That proper power plant provides 471 horsepower will have sell with an entry level MSRP of $92,000. The LC 500h uses a by 3.5-liter, V6 with, fully hybrid powertrain producing 354 horsepower. Drivers can take the h version home for $96,510.

 

All LC 500s come with Lexus Safety System+, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist/Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and Intelligent High Beam.

Optional equipment on the base LC 500 and LC 500h models includes 20” and 21” forged wheels, a Mark Levinson audio system, Limited Slip Differential, Blind Spot Monitor, Intuitive Park Assist, Heads-Up Display and Cold Area Package with a heated steering wheel and a windshield de-icer.
