New batch of Sydney Sweeney’s The Housemaid’s Secret set photos
New set photos from The Housemaid’s Secret show Sydney Sweeney sharing a kiss with a co-star on the streets of New York City. ScreenRant shared the images on X, capturing Sweeney in a hooded jacket between takes. The photos offer a fresh look at the sequel’s ongoing production across the city.
Sweeney returns as Millie Calloway in the follow-up to 2025’s The Housemaid. Notably, the original film grossed roughly $400 million worldwide on a $35 million budget. Lionsgate then greenlit the sequel just 17 days after the first film’s theatrical debut.
Paul Feig directs the sequel from a screenplay by Rebecca Sonnenshine. The film adapts the second novel in Freida McFadden’s bestselling thriller trilogy. In this installment, Millie takes a housekeeping job for a woman she is never allowed to see.
Meanwhile, Kirsten Dunst joins the cast as Wendy Garrick, while Brittany Snow plays a receptionist named Marybeth. Paul Anthony Kelly stars as Douglas Garrick, and Michele Morrone reprises his role as Enzo. Additionally, Stephen Kalyn appears in the film as a character named Brock.
Production began in late September 2026 across New York and New Jersey. Earlier set photos showed Sweeney filming alongside Morrone in Hoboken in mid-October. Separately, images captured Dunst wearing a black eye alongside Sweeney in Jersey City on October 26.
Since then, the sequel’s production has moved into Manhattan for additional filming. Sweeney was also photographed outside an elegant building with brass doors in late October. However, Amanda Seyfried, who starred in the original, will not return for the sequel.
The Housemaid’s Secret is set to open in theaters on December 17, 2027.
