A beloved Star Wars actor is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Goblin, A24’s upcoming raunchy fantasy comedy. The film already boasts a star-studded lineup featuring Kenneth Branagh, Skyler Gisondo, and Will Forte.
A24’s Goblin could add Chase Sui Wonders to its cast
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chase Sui Wonders is reportedly in talks to join Goblin, the upcoming feature from writer-director David Mikalson. Wonders recently lent her voice to Tafflah in the animated anthology series Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi.
However, she is perhaps best known for playing Quinn Hackett in Apple TV+’s satirical comedy series The Studio. She also portrayed Ava Brucks in the 2025 reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Wonders’ other acting credits include HBO Max’s Generation, Apple TV+’s City on Fire, the unaired pilot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale, and the erotic comedy film I Want Your Sex. Plot details for Goblin remain under wraps, and it is unclear which character Wonders could portray. However, Kenneth Branagh is confirmed to voice the titular goblin.
In a March 2025 interview with the aforementioned outlet, Wonders spoke about her admiration for risqué comedies, particularly those developed by Seth Rogen, who co-created The Studio. “I remember coming of age to Pineapple Express and being like, ‘This is what’s waiting for me in my adult life,’” she said.
She added, “And I’ll stand by my opinion that This Is the End is the last great American comedy.” Given Goblin’s raunchy comedy premise, the project appears to align with her taste in films.
Meanwhile, Branagh recently appeared alongside Ryan Reynolds in Apple TV’s action comedy Mayday. He is also part of the star-studded cast of Michael B. Jordan’s The Thomas Crown Affair. Skyler Gisondo, meanwhile, portrays Jimmy Olsen in the DCU and is set to reprise the role in the upcoming Man of Tomorrow.
As for Will Forte, he recently led the cast of the comedy film Coyote vs. Acme. Goblin does not yet have an announced release date.
