Thomas Sr. has denied possessing the images, calling the accusations “sick lies.” Speaking on the Mirror’s Pod Save The King YouTube show, royal editor Russell Myers questioned whether the situation could prompt senior royals to reconsider their strained relationship with Meghan. “One of the big points I was thinking about is: could this be the chance for renewed reconciliation between Meghan and the rest of the Royal Family?” Myers asked.
The Mirror’s deputy royal editor, Jennifer Newton, suggested that it would be difficult to imagine the royals feeling no sympathy for Meghan as she faces the controversy. However, she questioned whether that sympathy would be enough to overcome the family’s previous disagreements. “I think it would be really hard to think that none of them don’t have any sympathy for her in this situation,” Newton said.
