Kim Kardashian has opened up about her political ambitions, suggesting that a move into politics may still be a long way off. According to a report, the reality TV star wants to pass the bar exam and become an attorney first.
Kardashian has spent around six years pursuing her legal studies while managing other commitments, including her co-founded company. With several goals still on her plate, she admitted she is not ready to enter politics just yet.
Kim Kardashian reportedly says she must balance her legal ambitions with SKIMS before politics
Kim Kardashian’s political ambitions may have to take a back seat as she focuses on two major priorities. In author Jonathan Van Meter’s biography, “Citizen Kim,” the reality TV star opened up about her personal and professional life, including the possibility of running for public office. Speaking about the idea, she said (via OK! Magazine), “People ask me all the time.”
“I mean, the amount of people who wrote to me after [Joe] Biden’s disastrous debate? The fact that you guys think I’m capable of this? I am so flattered,” Kardashian added. She also expressed gratitude to those who have supported her work. However, the mother of four suggested that entering politics would likely remain a distant goal while she focuses on other commitments.
“I think that, No. 1, I have to pass the bar and become a lawyer first,” she explained. For those unfamiliar with her legal journey, Kardashian has been pursuing her dream of becoming a lawyer since around 2018–2019. She also acknowledged that running for office could conflict with her business commitments.
“And if you do run for office, you really can’t own and run a company. And I love SKIMS and what we’ve built. That is my focus,” the reality star said in the book.
Kardashian co-founded SKIMS in 2019, around the same time she began pursuing her legal studies. While she identified passing the bar and continuing to build her company as her two main priorities for now, she did not rule out a future in politics.
The 46-year-old admitted that she would “need some time” to consider such a major career change, suggesting that she still has time to explore the possibility before making a decision.
