Prince Harry’s Royal Conduct Questioned Over ‘Glossy’ Interview — Source

Prince Harry reportedly said he wants to reconcile with his family in a new magazine interview. However, one of his remarks seemingly raised eyebrows. “Some people don’t want it to work out,” he said.

It was reported that the comment has led to questions about whether he was indirectly criticizing Prince William.

Prince William and King Charles won’t see Prince Harry’s interview ‘as befitting a royal,’ per source

Sussex spokesman reportedly denies Prince Harry’s reconciliation comment was a swipe at Prince William. According to RadarOnline, Harry spoke about his estrangement from King Charles and William after returning to Britain with Meghan Markle. The spokesman allegedly said it was “absolutely not intended as a swipe at his brother.” The representative claimed that the comment was made in a general context.

Harry also reportedly said that “scars stick around forever,” but he encouraged everybody to let go of the past. He also acknowledged grieving the relationships he once had with Charles and William.

However, a palace source claimed there is “something rather pathetic” about using a glossy magazine interview to send messages. They said that it is not something Charles or William would see “as befitting a royal.” According to the source, the obvious step would have been to approach them privately. They also claimed that, despite his protestations, the interview was “plainly being used to appeal to them.”

Furthermore, the insider alleged that Harry believes publicly declaring his willingness to reconcile places the responsibility on Charles and William. “Relationships don’t work like that,” they said. From the royals’ perspective, every public appeal seemingly risks becoming “another round of unwanted headlines.”

The insider also claimed that Harry talks about forgiveness while reminding everyone of the damage he believes has been done to him. They said that his approach seems “almost guaranteed to prolong the argument.” At some point, he reportedly has to decide whether reconciliation matters more than having the final word.

Meanwhile, William and Kate Middleton recently joined Charles and Queen Camilla for the Sultan of Oman’s state visit. It reportedly highlights the continued separation between the Sussexes and the monarchy’s official engagements.
