Donald Trump Is Posting More Than Ever, but Truth Social Users Are Vanishing

Donald Trump continues to flood Truth Social with political attacks, media coverage, and AI-generated content with his followers. However, despite his frequent posting, the platform’s daily traffic has fallen considerably from its previous high. Recent data shows that Truth Social’s daily audience has fallen sharply from its June 2025 peak.

Donald Trump’s Truth Social traffic drops 38% from peak

Donald Trump’s Truth Social recorded around 260,000 daily users last month, marking a significant decline from the 420,000 recorded in June 2025, as reported by The Daily Beast. The difference amounts to a 38 percent decrease, indicating that the platform is attracting fewer daily users than it did at its peak.

The president has previously increased his posting frequency considerably. He published 861 posts in May, an average of 27 per day, exceeding his previous monthly record of 782 posts and reposts in January. His daily average in April was 18 posts. These figures shows his continued posting activity, while Similarweb’s traffic data shows that the platform’s daily audience remains low.

The scale of the decline becomes clearer when Truth Social is compared with other social media platforms. Facebook records more than 2 billion daily active users, while X (formerly known as Twitter) attracts upwards of 450 million daily users worldwide, according to Search Engine Land. Twitter was the model for Truth Social, which Trump established after he was removed from the platform in 2021.

Twitter permanently banned Trump on January 8, 2021, following the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He formed Trump Media & Technology Group the following month, and Truth Social launched in February 2022. The service gave Trump an independent platform after Facebook, YouTube and Twitter also barred him from their services following the Capitol attack.

He has since built a following of more than 13 million users on Truth Social and continues to post several times a day. The president’s posts frequently cover political opponents, investments, media reports, and AI-generated images and videos.
