King Charles Tries To Please Both Prince William & Prince Harry, but Fails Miserably — Source

Tension within the Royal Family has taken an unexpected turn as King Charles is reportedly caught between Prince William and Prince Harry, according to one insider. Now, the fallout has already reached the Invictus Games 2027 and the confusion surrounding Uganda’s participation in the international sporting event.

King Charles under ‘immense pressure’ from Prince William to put ‘Harry and Meghan in their place,’ per source

According to an insider speaking to the National Examiner, King Charles is in a “terribly difficult spot right now.” The source adds that he is “caught between his son [Prince Harry] and his courtiers” and trying to appease both sides “doesn’t really work.”

The tension traces back to a letter of guidance that was sent to UK officials at Charles’ behest. It reminded them that Harry and Meghan Markle remain non-working royals despite returning to Britain.

Following this official reaffirmation, Uganda reacted quickly. The outlet reports that Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, announced the country’s withdrawal from the 2027 Invictus Games. Uganda’s Acting Director of Defence and Public Information later confirmed the letter was behind it.

The decision did not stand, as Sir Clive Alderton, the King’s principal private secretary, assured Kainerugaba that the monarch had no problem with the country’s participation in the game. Rather, he encouraged it. After this, Uganda resumed preparations. Notably, Harry is the founder and patron of the Invictus Games.

The insider reveals that Charles wants to keep Harry happy while also facing “immense pressure” from Prince William. The courtiers, the source adds, want him to put Harry and Meghan “in their place.”

At the same time, the King might have jumped to Harry’s defence too quickly. “Being forced to immediately step in to clear up the misunderstanding reflected very poorly on him,” the source says. Yet “anyone that knows the king will tell you this is a lot more strategic” than a father’s love.

The source goes on to note that Charles worries about how Harry might react if pushed “too far,” even as pressure from Prince William continues. The insider adds that the Sussexes are “capable of making him suffer.”

In the meantime, the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 will begin in July 2027.
