Meghan Markle has reportedly been spotted driving herself through the Cotswolds in a large SUV, marking a rare solo outing behind the wheel since returning to the UK with Prince Harry and their children. The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly alone during the drive, with Harry nowhere to be seen. The sighting comes less than three weeks after the Sussexes returned to Britain from California for an extended stay.
Sources say Meghan Markle was seen behind the wheel in the Cotswolds without Prince Harry
A source told HELLO! Magazine that Meghan Markle was spotted driving a large SUV in the Cotswolds. She was reportedly alone in the vehicle, without Prince Harry accompanying her. The sighting offers a rare glimpse of Meghan navigating life behind the wheel since the family returned to the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex is used to driving an automatic car in the UK, but her recent outing showed that she is getting more comfortable with British driving. However, to drive in the UK, one is required to hold a provisional license. To obtain it, an individual must pass a theory test and then a practical test. It remains unknown whether Markle had applied for her license during her previous stays in the country.
This news comes amid a source recently sharing with PEOPLE an update on the Sussexes’ feelings after being back and what they currently remain focused on. The source said, “There is a lot to do. They have just moved halfway across the world, and it’s been really busy getting the kids settled. Their focus has been on that and will remain on that, for the time being.
They are happy to be back.” The couple moved to the UK on August 26, over a month after their private reunion with King Charles. They currently live at a non-royal base outside London and aren’t provided with taxpayer-funded security.
