King Charles Forced To Keep Putting Out Fires for Prince Harry & Meghan Markle — Expert

King Charles could face a continuing “whack-a-mole” problem after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to Britain. The monarch already stepped in after Uganda withdrew from Harry’s Invictus Games amid fresh palace tensions. A royal expert predicted similar disputes could keep surfacing over the coming year. The claim framed Charles as trying to contain each issue quickly, while still keeping the Sussexes outside any renewed working royal arrangement.

Expert predicts King Charles will have to help Prince Harry and Meghan Markle through UK drama

As per The Sun, Uganda initially withdrew from Invictus. Military chief Muhoozi Kainerugaba said Uganda would not join anything lacking “His Majesty’s approval.” However, King Charles later spoke with him by phone. Uganda then reversed its decision and resumed preparations. Royal expert Phil Dampier said the palace had “nipped it in the bud.” He warned a “domino effect” could have made the event “a bit farcical.”

Meanwhile, Dampier said this may not be an isolated problem. “They’ve forced the King’s hand,” he said. He added the palace acted before the dispute became “a big drama.” The royal expert predicted “many situations” where officials would need to stop tensions escalating. He said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tended to “start an argument in an empty room.” Still, he suggested Charles might attend the Invictus Games opening because veterans remained central to the event.

However, Dampier expected the wider challenge to continue week by week. He said courtiers would have their “work cut out for them.” Their task would include preventing any “half-in, half-out” royal arrangement from returning. At the same time, he acknowledged palace officials “can’t control everything they do.” Harry would continue Invictus and other charitable work. Dampier called it “a very difficult situation to handle.” He said it would require “all the diplomatic skills” around Charles.
