Biographer Michael Wolff recently claimed that certain leaks about Pete Hegseth are coming from the Donald Trump administration. This comes amid reports of Democrats preparing to hit the US Secretary of War if they win the midterm elections.
Michael Wolff says leaks about Pete Hegseth’s conduct are building against him
Democrats are warning Pete Hegseth to prepare for the midterms. Meanwhile, he reportedly also faces a setback from within the Donald Trump administration. Numerous details about him are being leaked that could affect his position.
Trump biographer Michael Wolff recently took to his Substack regarding the matter. He stated that leaks about the Secretary of War’s “conduct” are being spread around. He wrote, “Daily leaks about his blunders, stupidity, malfeasance, and weird conduct—his wife has moved into the Pentagon as his effective second-in-command—have become part of a growing rear-guard rebellion to get him out.”
Wolff also noted that Hegseth is losing support at the White House. The biographer added that he has become highly unpopular among the President’s closest advisors. He suggested that everyone is “alarmed” and “truly freaked out” about Hegseth and is reportedly planning to get him out as soon as possible. However, despite so much pressure from his inner circle to fire Hegseth, Trump remains the only one who doesn’t think the former should be let go.
Wolff’s claims have been debunked by the Deputy Press Secretary, Joel Valdez. He labeled his theory “resistance fanfiction for low IQ left-wing hacks.” Valdez also called the biographer a “liar.”
Wolff’s claims dropped after a Republican Senator previously demanded that Trump drop Hegseth. Senator Thom Tillis heavily criticized Hegseth over Dan Driscoll’s resignation. He wrote on X, “If we had a @SecWar who maintained the same priorities and forward-thinking, he would be fighting to retain talented leaders like Dan and the many flag officers he has forced into retirement.”
