Donald Trump Shares Videos of Fans Praising Him as Fox Poll Hits New Low

Donald Trump’s social media feed projects confidence, even as polling suggests his presidency faces mounting public dissatisfaction. With the midterm elections approaching and Republicans confronting a challenging political landscape, his Truth Social posts tell a different story from the numbers.

How Donald Trump’s Truth Social videos contrast with the latest Fox News approval poll

Donald Trump shared videos on Truth Social featuring fans from his recent rallies in Montana and Arizona. In one clip, a reporter from the pro-Trump Right Side Broadcasting Network asked a woman what she would tell the president directly (via The Daily Beast).

She praised his performance, urged him to “keep it up“ and predicted that “everybody will come around eventually.“ Another woman expressed her affection for Trump, while a third credited him with keeping campaign promises. Asked to name her favorite accomplishment, the third supporter cited border restrictions and “getting rid of the fentanyl.“

The positive testimonials arrived as a Fox News survey delivered troubling figures for the president. His approval rating fell to 36%, the lowest result he has recorded in that poll, while his approval rating on inflation dropped to 22%. Trump also faced a particularly steep decline among voters younger than 30. He stood 50 percentage points underwater with that group, which had viewed him more favorably in October 2024.

CNN data analyst Harry Enten reacted with surprise to the figures, describing the shift as “absolutely stunning!” during a Thursday morning analysis. Trump’s carefully curated online image has also prompted questions about the information reaching him behind closed doors. Natalie Harp, a White House aide, reportedly prints stories from right-wing news sites for the president. Meanwhile, new press secretary Katie Zacharia is responsible for communicating the administration’s position to the public. However, Zacharia’s first appearance at the briefing podium on Tuesday lasted less than 14 minutes, quickly becoming a target of online ridicule.
