Pierce Brosnan on Tom Hardy’s MobLand dispute
Pierce Brosnan has addressed reports of tension involving Tom Hardy on the set of MobLand. Brosnan spoke to the Press Association about the matter while attending the Season 2 premiere of the Paramount+ series in London and emphasized that the cast and production remain on good terms. “Oh my God, it was a storm in a teacup, really. I love the dude. I love Tom Hardy. I’m a massive fan of the man’s work. Truly,” Brosnan said (via Deadline).
Brosnan added, “We are rock solid as a company, as a family. Everyone shows up for work, and everybody’s just there on the spot. It moves very fast so it’s not like we go out and socialise and go to the pub or anything like that.” Brosnan was responding to reports that Hardy had disagreements with showrunner Jez Butterworth and had issues related to his punctuality during production.
Hardy also spoke positively about working with Brosnan and Helen Mirren. He said, “So to be able to work with them is a privilege, but also to be able to enjoy them, watching them spread their wings with their range now as well, and play against their type in some aspects, and really enjoy that is a beautiful thing to watch as a human being.”
The three stars are expected to continue their MobLand roles in Season 3, which Paramount has already renewed. Season 2 of the series premieres on Paramount+ on September 18, 2026. The 10-episode season will release weekly on Fridays, with the finale scheduled for November 20, 2026.
