Gisele Bundchen’s kids may be changing how the long-time model views her career. After years of making major moves in the fashion world, she is looking at her work a little differently. Her latest comments offer a glimpse into what now matters most to the supermodel. And it may have less to do with her next major modeling opportunity than fans might expect.

Gisele Bundchen is no longer saying yes to every modeling opportunity that comes her way. In an i-D 377 “The Mother Issue”, she revealed that she turns down the vast majority of job offers. She does so to avoid missing important moments with her children.
“I say no to 99 percent of the jobs I’m offered because, when I put it on the scale, I’m like, ‘Am I going to miss my daughter’s volleyball game?” Further added, “Am I going to miss going to the park with my son? Am I going to miss my son DJing?’” Bundchen said.
She spent much of her early career working at an intense pace. She admitted she was caught up in the “rat race” during her early 20s. Looking back, she recalled, “Even though I wasn’t going to the parties, I was doing 360 days [of work a year]. I wanted to be the best that I could be every day. I wanted to bring my best.”
Today, her kids are a major part of her everyday life. She shares Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13, with ex-husband Tom Brady. She also has a 16-month-old son with husband Joaquim Valente. Bundchen said becoming a mother again at 44 has given her a different perspective. “Having a baby at this moment of my life is such a gift,” she added. “I don’t have anything to prove.”
Bundchen is still making space for modeling. But she is choosing her opportunities more carefully. For now, her priorities seem clear.
