Meghan Markle might feel “isolated” after returning to the UK with Prince Harry and her children. According to a source, she may be feeling “homesick,” but fear of failure has apparently kept her from flying back. She allegedly thought that moving back might not be “harder,” as it has been six years since the Sussexes left Britain. However, King Charles’ letter seemed to catch the family off guard.
Meghan Markle feels ‘a real sense of isolation’ upon UK move, per source
Meghan Markle’s UK return didn’t go as smoothly as she might have expected. According to a New Idea report, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, didn’t expect the letter incident. On King Charles’ behalf, the missive stated that the couple would be “private citizens” and that there would be no changes to their royal status. This didn’t seem to go down well with the mother of two.
A source told the outlet that Markle agreed to move back to the UK “to make Harry happy.” But it has reportedly turned out to be “way harder than she anticipated.” It was further said that the “Suits” alum has been missing home, her chickens, her mother, and friends.
Apparently, the duchess is reportedly missing the “freedom” she felt in California, where she could hop in her car and go places without much worry. “She’s much more nervous about being out in public in England, so there’s a real sense of isolation,” the insider claimed. But Markle would allegedly not fly back to Montecito because it might be considered an “admission of failure.”
Furthermore, she would seem to want to help her children settle into their new school and environment. On top of that, she would reportedly not leave her husband alone at this time. “There’s just an overwhelming amount on [Markle’s] plate. Of course, she’s feeling it,” the source added.
Meanwhile, another report claimed that the Sussexes were allegedly disappointed with how they were referred to in King Charles’ letter. They would reportedly prefer to be known as “public figures” rather than “private citizens.”
