Katie Holmes is giving fans a glimpse into her summer getaway with boyfriend Jason Bard Yarmosky. The Dawson’s Creek star was recently spotted in Italy with the contemporary artist, as the couple enjoyed a trip around Lake Como.
“Life is a friend of art,” the caption of the post on Instagram read. Holmes and Yarmosky first sparked dating rumors in July before going public with their relationship through red-carpet appearances in August.
The trip comes shortly after Holmes shared a birthday tribute to Yarmosky on social media, calling the 39-year-old painter “the best of the best.” Holmes has generally kept her relationships private, making the Italian vacation a more personal look at her life away from Hollywood. The 47-year-old actress and director appeared relaxed in the photos from the trip.
The romantic escape included plenty of time on the water
The couple spent much of their time on Lake Como, cruising across its green waters aboard a classic wooden speedboat. Photos from the outing showed Katie Holmes enjoying the sunshine in a white bikini before changing into a plunging black halterneck dress.
Yarmosky took his turn steering the boat and also photographed Holmes during their time together. The two were also seen sharing affectionate moments while taking in the scenery.
They hugged and laughed together as they traveled along the lake. Yarmosky later shared his own photos and videos from the boat ride on Instagram, including moments of Holmes enjoying the trip.
For those unaware, Yarmosky is known for his large-scale figurative paintings, with his work often exploring subjects including aging and memory. His creative career also gives him something in common with Holmes, whose work includes acting, directing and theater.
