The First Lady will reportedly look into the annual celebration which will begin months before the holiday decorations are put in place. Her creative direction will be part of the process as the creative team works on the transformation of the White House.
The Office of the First Lady addressed the preparations in a post shared on its official X account. The post stated, “Did you know Christmas at the White House begins months before the first ornament is placed?”. It continued, “From the First Lady’s creative vision, teams of designers and artisans bring each detail to life.” The post stated that it will transform “the historic rooms of the White House into an immersive celebration of the season, welcoming guests from all over the world.”
The announcement has already prompted different reactions from social media users. Some welcomed the early look at the Christmas preparations and expressed excitement. Meanwhile, others criticized the administration and pointed to ongoing issues, including the war in Iran.
Melania has also been the subject of separate reports concerning her public appearances with Donald Trump. Her limited presence alongside the president has drawn attention, particularly in connection with White House aide Natalie Harp. Trump biographer Michael Wolff discussed the matter in a post on his Howl Substack newsletter.
Wolff claimed, “Melania, whose appearances with her husband were carefully negotiated and choreographed, would not show up if Harp was around.” He added, “Since Harp was always around, Melania never was—appearing with her husband only in the last week of the campaign.”
