A new weapon is about to enter the action, and even some Army personnel reportedly have not yet seen it in service. Garrett, who plays Tucker in Lioness, revealed the weapon during an interview with ScreenRant’s Liam Crowley. The actor explained that his character will handle a firearm that has never appeared on camera before. After Garrett posted a photo while filming, Army members contacted him with a surprising reaction. “We don’t even have that gun yet,” they said. He kept the rest under wraps, but promised “a shortage of ammunition” would not be a problem.
That tease marks a sharp turn from the season’s earlier stretch. The production spent Episodes 3 and 4 building the larger picture through conversations, character dynamics, and rising stakes. Garrett now says “the action is about to rev up,” suggesting Sheridan plans to trade some of that slow-burn setup for bigger set pieces. He also hinted that the firearm plays into a sequence carrying Sheridan’s distinctive creative touch.
Joe’s troubles are far from over, and the series is already juggling several moving pieces. Still dealing with the consequences of her abduction, she finds herself at the center of an investigation that keeps getting messier. Tucker and Bobby are meanwhile digging into Operation Treasure while trying to piece together the attack on Joe’s home. Joe’s attempt to flip Russian operatives into informants has made things more tricky, especially after learning that her captors secretly transported her to Texas.
Garrett isn’t exactly a stranger to high-octane television. His résumé includes Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Sons of Anarchy, The Last Ship, Designated Survivor, and The Terminal List. Sheridan also has a history with the actor, having previously cast him in 1883. With Season 3 sitting at 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, expectations are high heading into the September 20 finale on Paramount+.
