Apple TV+ is gearing up to return with Slow Horses Season 6 in the coming days. The acclaimed spy thriller will see Gary Oldman reprise his role alongside the returning ensemble, as the Slough House agents find themselves caught up in another high-stakes mission. The upcoming season will also welcome a new face to the cast, adding another layer of intrigue to the hit series.
Slow Horses Season 6 is finally arriving
Apple TV+ is preparing to bring Slow Horses back for its sixth season, with new episodes set to begin streaming on September 16, 2026. The upcoming season will return viewers to Slough House, where Jackson Lamb and his team of misfit MI5 agents find themselves caught up in another dangerous situation.
Slow Horses Season 6 will consist of six weekly episodes. The season premiere is scheduled for September 16, followed by a new episode every Wednesday, with the finale set to arrive on October 21. The story draws from Mick Herron’s Joe Country and Slough House, the sixth and seventh novels in the Slough House series. BAFTA winner Lenny Rush will also join the cast, although details about his role remain under wraps.
The official logline for the season reads, “Season 6 sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.”
Gary Oldman will once again headline the series as Jackson Lamb, with the returning ensemble also featuring Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, Saskia Reeves, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Christopher Chung, and Joanna Scanlan, among others.
Created by Mick Herron, Slow Horses follows a group of MI5 agents who have been relegated to Slough House after career missteps. Working under the abrasive but highly experienced Jackson Lamb, the agents repeatedly find themselves pulled into major intelligence operations despite their lowly status within the agency.
The series already has another chapter on the way. Apple TV+ has renewed Slow Horses for Season 7, which has reportedly completed production. The streaming service has yet to announce a premiere date for the seventh season, while reports suggest that Season 8 is also in development.
