Fuze, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, is finally heading to streaming after making its theatrical debut earlier this year. The crime thriller has earned attention for its tense storyline, which centers on an unexploded bomb and a bank robbery. Now, the film has officially set its streaming release date, giving audiences a new opportunity to watch it from home.
Fuze to stream on HBO Max in September
Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Fuze finally has a streaming release date. The thriller will debut on HBO Max on September 4, 2026, according to WBD Press.
Directed by David Mackenzie and written by Ben Hopkins, Fuze was released theatrically on April 3, 2026. The film centers on an unexploded World War II bomb discovered at a busy London construction site, prompting the evacuation of the surrounding area. Major Will Tranter, an explosives expert, is brought in to assess and deactivate the device before it causes a catastrophe.
With the area cleared, criminal mastermind Giorgos “George” Karalis, along with X and their team, uses the situation as an opportunity to carry out a bank robbery within the bomb’s blast radius. Meanwhile, Chief Superintendent Zuzana Greenfield tries to determine the situation in the evacuated area as the bomb disposal operation and the criminal scheme unfold.
The movie’s cast includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Major Will Tranter, Theo James as Giorgos “George” Karalis, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Chief Superintendent Zuzana Greenfield, Sam Worthington as “X,” and Saffron Hocking as Military Sergeant Dootsie Keane, among others.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 72 percent critics’ rating based on 112 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience rating stands at 78 percent. Ross Bonaime of Collider reported, “Fuze has the bones of a great idea, and one that does seem like a great fit for Mackenzie, given his past work. But Hopkins’ script is too generic an action exercise, from its bland plot to its nothing characters, that it’s hard to find anything to truly care about.”
