Parton’s 9 to 5 co-star Lily Tomlin took to X and wrote, “Friend. Songwriter. The Great Harmonizer of Humanity. Dolly. Dolly. Dolly. Forever Dolly.”
McEntire, a close friend and fellow country music icon alongside Parton, wrote a heartfelt message about her decades-long friendship with the late star.
“Dolly, thank you for all the wonderful things you did for us here on earth,” the American singer wrote. “Your love, your music, and you gave so much with your huge, huge heart. There will never ever be another you. We will remember and cherish every memory and every note you ever played and sang.”
“I’ll never forget the first time I met you, and I’ll never forget our last conversation. I hold it with love in my heart,” McEntire added.
Among the other singers who honored the late country singer was Maren Morris, who performed with Parton at the 2019 Grammys. The 36-year-old singer wrote, “There will never be another. @dollyparton was who we could all agree on. She was and is such a light.”
Andy Cohen, who interviewed Parton numerous times, also paid tribute to the late legend. The Watch What Happens Live host wrote, “We were all so lucky to live in her midst and get to experience her music, kindness, and joy.”
However, a surprising tribute came from President Donald Trump, who also paid tribute to Parton on Truth Social, writing, “In her honor, I am lowering the American flag throughout the United States for a one-week period beginning tonight at 6:00 PM. Rest in Peace, Dolly! The World loves you.”

She also revealed that her team was working on “avatar performances” to give fans a unique musical experience. However, the project was still in its early stages.
