Michael Jai White stars as a detective who finds himself dealing with a human trafficking operation in Drive Through Fire. As the investigation deepens, he is forced to confront a criminal network that will stop at nothing to protect its interests.
The official synopsis reads, “Drive Through Fire follows Jason, a disgraced veteran battling opioid addiction, who discovers a woman is being trafficked during a rideshare trip. After killing a corrupt congressman to free her, Jason becomes the target of traffickers, the Russian mob, and law enforcement. As a homicide detective covers for him, the violence escalates, leading to a desperate rescue mission and a final showdown with the criminal network.”

What do we see in the Drive Through Fire trailer?
The trailer shows Jim Carlson as Jason, a veteran battling opioid addiction who discovers a woman being trafficked during a rideshare trip. His soon-to-be ex-wife, Jaime, played by Kate Duffy, tells him that the police likely won’t take action without concrete evidence of wrongdoing. Unable to look away, Jason goes to the hotel where a congressman is spending the night with a girl and kills him. The girl, named Kristina, played by Jennifer Bond, then goes into hiding, with the police and traffickers hot on their trail. The two then go on the run.
White’s detective character, Tommy Poole, gets involved in the case. He is assigned to investigate the congressman’s killing, which leads him to the human trafficking ring. Poole asks Jaime to stay away from the case after revealing that people connected to the case have been killed.
The trailer then depicts a series of gunfights involving Poole as Kristina and Jason narrowly escape the traffickers. Dan Bakkedahl also features prominently as Kristina’s handler before becoming her pursuer.
Drive Through Fire deals with a similar subject of taking down human traffickers like 2008’s Taken, starring Liam Neeson. Directed by Lauren Bond and Jim Carlson, the film will receive a VOD and digital release on Sep. 11, 2026.
