A new slasher starring three generations of horror royalty has locked down its release date. The Horror Collective and BloodStream unveiled the first trailer for Last Chance Motel, a desert-set thriller directed by Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton.

Last Chance Motel’s trailer promises a relentless killing spree that turns a wedding celebration into a survival fight. Taylor-Compton and Harris play Andi and Casey, a newlywed couple who choose a secluded Nevada motel as their venue. They quickly discover the family running the establishment harbors dark secrets and murderous intentions. The release date to hit major VOD platforms is October 6.
Heather Langenkamp joins the cast as Bobbi Love, the motel’s unnervingly cheerful owner. Her sons help ensure the reception becomes a bloodbath no guest escapes. The film reunites Langenkamp, Taylor-Compton, and Harris, connecting scream queens from A Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween franchises. Shane West, Monica Keena, Sierra McCormick, and Robert Allen Mukes round out the ensemble.
Taylor-Compton developed the idea while scouting venues for her own wedding. She encountered isolated properties that felt unsettling rather than romantic. That experience sparked the concept of a celebration turning deadly in a familiar setting. Additionally, Harris saw immediate potential in the premise. She credits Brandon Slagle’s screenplay for creating a world where the location feels as threatening as the villains.
