Reed Arnold and Kelly Russo revealed during a recent interview that they faced a seemingly dangerous situation while filming a fence scene for their new rom-com Do Us Part. In addition to starring, Arnold also wrote and directed the feature.

Arnold and Russo recounted a “scary” incident that took place while they were filming Do Us Part. While asked about surprising behind-the-scenes incidents during a Collider interview, Russo recalled that Arnold “almost got run over,” calling the incident “scary.” She then added, “I’ll give you all the dirt. We got threatened to be shot at. It was kind of wild. So the scene where Reed and I are having this moment in front of this fence, beautiful view, we almost died for it! It was pretty scary. I’m not joking.”
Arnold noted that he “didn’t realize it was the neighbor’s fence, and they were not keen on us shooting on their property.” Russo understandably observed that this incident was also “scary” and that they “almost died.” She elaborated, “No, but they were threatening to shoot us, so I take that, as a Californian, very seriously. Maybe not in Virginia.”
According to Arnold, the exact phrasing that the other party used was something along the lines of, “We know about the Second Amendment and we exercise our rights.” Further, apparently, when Arnold offered them money in exchange for the chance to shoot on the fence line, they told him to look at the property to realize that they didn’t need it. This prompted Russo to compare what transpired to storylines in Paramount’s Western drama series Yellowstone.
Arnold added, “Honestly, I respected it. I was like, ‘You’re right. You’re exactly right. That is nothing to you.'”
