Gwyneth Paltrow’s response to the backlash over Sam Altman’s dinner invitation is turning heads. Leaked details indicate that the “Iron Man” star will host a private dinner for the OpenAI CEO. The invite for the “private, off-the-record” gathering lists cocktails at 6 p.m. and a seated dinner at 6:45 p.m.

Gwyneth Paltrow responds to backlash over Sam Altman dinner invite

Gwyneth Paltrow is clapping back at her critics, and she’s not holding back.

Matthew Belloni reported in the newsletter Puck that the Goop founder is set to host a private dinner at her Hamptons home for Sam Altman. The disclosure promptly sparked criticism across social platforms.

In his article, Belloni wrote, “Invites are going out this week for a ‘private, off-the-record al fresco dinner at her home in honor of Sam Altman.’” He also shared a graphic that looked like a formal invite from the 53-year-old.

The image of the alleged invitation was quickly reshared by social media users, who criticized Paltrow. Comedian-activist Matt Bernstein also posted a video arguing that her ties to artificial intelligence reflect “technofascism.”

The “Marty Supreme” actress clapped back on Thursday, August 20, sharing her own takes on the invitation to Instagram Stories and to her main feed.

In all five versions, the invitation referenced a “private, off-the-record al fresco dinner.” The supposed guests of honor were “M3GAN,” “Samantha Jones,” “SHREK,” “Jessica Rabbit” and “Chanty Beluga.” The concluding invitation refers to Chanty Beluga, a character created by comedian Courtney O’Donnell that has gained traction online in recent weeks.`

Alongside the Hamptons dinner invite memes, the “Shallow Hal” actress shared a tongue-in-cheek caption: “We’re serving swordfish burritos, cheddar foam lattes on request.”

However, Gwyneth Paltrow’s mock invites sparked more jokes and pushback in the comments. “Ghoulyth spinelesstrow,” bashed a follower. “But it’s just not funny babe,” wrote another. “Nice try but no,” echoed an Instagram user. “Can someone explain the joke to me please,” read yet another comment. “This damage control ain’t controlling much babe!” slammed a critic.
