Harry Potter Star Reveals the Part of Their OnlyFans Career They Regret

Jessie Cave has opened up about the difficult decision that pushed her toward OnlyFans, admitting that her financial situation left her feeling embarrassed. The Harry Potter actor now credits the platform with helping support her family, even as she works to shed the shame attached to how she earns money.

Jessie Cave, best known for playing Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter films, explained on the UK talk show This Morning that acting work alone had stopped providing enough stability. With four children and expensive child care, she said she reached a point where finding another income stream became necessary.

The actor joined OnlyFans last year, but her page does not feature explicit material. Instead, Cave earns money from videos centered on her exceptionally long hair, including clips of herself brushing and styling it. Cave says it “made me more confident as a woman.” She also described the platform as an unexpected opportunity to connect with people “you would never usually speak to.“

Money became the biggest surprise. Cave previously revealed that she earned £15,000 in one day, while telling The Times that her income from the platform eventually exceeded everything she had earned from acting. She initially expected the work to last only a few months and hoped it would simply give her breathing room. Instead, she said it has lasted more than a year and a half and has “genuinely saved our lives.”

Cave also pointed to Lily Allen and Kate Nash, who have used OnlyFans to generate additional income, as influences on her decision. Still, the actress admitted that needing the platform made her uncomfortable because audiences often assume performers are financially secure. “People just assume I’m rich,” she said on This Morning, while explaining that she had actually struggled to cover everyday expenses.

Despite that discomfort, Cave now wants to change how she views the work. She continues performing in one-woman shows and considers OnlyFans another part of her artistic career. She said the platform has helped her feel more comfortable presenting herself and that she wants to have “less shame” about making a living this way.
