Jessica Alba & Teen Daughter Get Matching Tattoos Before College Send-off

Jessica Alba and her teen daughter Honor celebrated a milestone in their relationship by getting matching tattoos as the 18-year-old prepared to leave home for college.

In July, tattoo artist Winterstone, also known as Daniel Winter, shared photos from the mother-daughter tattoo session on Instagram. One image showed Alba and Honor holding hands while displaying their new matching wrist tattoos.

The pair chose an eye design with an infinity symbol underneath it. Several lines extended from the top of the eye, creating a distinctive and sentimental design. Alba had the tattoo placed on her forearm near her wrist, while Honor opted for the inside of her wrist.

“Matching tattoos with her daughter!” Winterstone wrote in the caption. He described the experience as a special way for the two to celebrate their bond and create a memory they would share forever.

The matching ink came as Alba prepared for an emotional change in her family. Earlier this month, the actress opened up to PEOPLE about Honor leaving the nest and beginning her freshman year of college.

Alba described the milestone as “intense.” She admitted that she did not think parents could truly prepare themselves for the moment their children leave home.

“It hasn’t really hit me personally,” Alba said, adding that the reality of the change would likely sink in once the transition unfolds.

Alba shares three children with her ex-husband, Cash Warren: Honor, 18, Haven, 15, and Hayes, 8.

Warren celebrated Honor’s graduation from high school in May with an emotional Instagram tribute. Alongside a photo featuring himself and their three children, he praised Honor for reaching the milestone and encouraged her to embrace the next chapter of her life.

He revealed that Honor was following in his footsteps by attending Yale, where she would continue her education.

The mother-daughter duo had already shared several memorable moments this year. In May, Honor accompanied Alba to a dinner celebrating a collaboration between Paul Smith and Gabriela Hearst at the Chateau Marmont. Alba later shared photos of their coordinating outfits and a TikTok video showing the two hugging and getting ready together.

As Honor prepared to begin college, the matching tattoos offered Alba and her daughter a permanent reminder of their relationship. The tattoos gave them a lasting symbol of their bond as they entered this new chapter together.
