Kylie Kelce opens up about being ‘terrified’ after miscarriage but is grateful they tried again
On the Thursday, August 13 episode of “Not Gonna Lie,” Kylie Kelce answered a fan’s question about whether she was scared to get pregnant again after her miscarriage in 2018. She admitted, “Yes, Sarah. I was terrified,” adding that she was scared even after getting pregnant with her oldest daughter, Wyatt.
“Even when we got pregnant, I then, every single week, was looking up what are the chances that this pregnancy sticks?,” Kelce said. “And then once I got into my second trimester, towards the end of my second trimester, because I was still Googling at the beginning of my second trimester, like, what are the chances I get to meet this baby?”
She further said that the question changed at the end of her second trimester. Kelce recalled wondering, “What are the chances that if I had the baby today that the baby could survive?” She admitted that even though it was not a healthy line of thinking, it helped her at the time.
Reflecting on the miscarriage, she continued, “I think that sits with you forever…I had those same feelings through the rest of my pregnancies.” Kelce then addressed the fan, assuring, “You experienced a loss, and it’s okay to have that grief sit with you.” She added, “That is going to be something that might pop up when you least expect it.”
That said, Kylie Kelce is grateful that they tried again. She noted, “But if I had not tried again, I would not have Wyatt. So I think that sometimes you have to go at the hard thing and try again.”
