Kylie Kelce explained why she is more conscientious about protecting her daughters’ privacy. She said that her family’s growing public profile has prompted her to be strict about breaches. Additionally, a documentary featuring their children has got her thinking about how much should be revealed on social media.
Kylie Kelce explains how husband Jason’s documentary changed her approach to their daughters’ privacy
She spoke on “The Squeeze podcast with Tay Lautner,” and revealed her new social media approach. She is now more guarded about sharing her daughters’ faces on social media. “I made it a point to stop putting their faces on my social media,” Kylie said.
The 34-year-old started out by enthusiastically posting updates about their family life after she and former NFL star Jason Kelce welcomed their eldest daughter, Wyatt, in 2019. However, as the family gained more public attention, she began to curb her posting about the children.
“As life has gone on and things have changed, I post infrequently overall, and I post, even less frequently, our children,” she stated. Kylie also discussed the impact of her husband Jason’s documentary in 2023, which influenced her thinking. The film documented Jason’s 2022 NFL season and had slices of his family life.
“Our kids were included in that because, part of the decision, was surrounded by the impact it had on our family,” Kylie explained. She also said that the film helped her decide on the boundaries she wanted to have around their daughters’ lives.
“That was really the turning point for me to understand that people can’t draw a line for themselves, and I think that sometimes you have to very clearly draw it for them,” she elaborated. Kylie has now set limits between commercial content and social media sharing. She said her daughters are not included in social media clips, brand deals, or sponsorships.
Kylie’s attitude reveals her recent move to protect their daughters’ profiles even as social media attention around her family increases.
